Playa Jaco, Costa Rica has for many years now drawing people from all over the
world who enjoy great sun and surfing, it is considered by many to be the surfing
capital of Costa Rica, and that’s no small statement considering there are more
than 800 miles of coast line in this beautiful country. Playa Jaco has comfortable
warm water all year long, with the average temperature being about 80 degrees
Fahrenheit , so you can leave your wet suit at home. It is a great place to learn
how to surf, you can surf almost the whole beach. It is a beach break and enjoys
constant swells year around making it a great place to start out on your adventure.

Once you have mastered Playa Jaco, you can make your way to Playa Hermosa
which is located less than 5 minutes away and offers a very consistent surf all year
long, it has around 3 ½ miles of black volcanic sand beach with great swells from
almost any direction. That is why in 2009 it was chosen to host the ISA World
Surfing Games, it is truly a surfing Mecca.

Learn Spanish and Surf offers lesions with qualified surf instructors, who will get
you started off right. If you already know how to ride the waves, we can help you
rent the right board to enjoy the great surfing.
